ADRC-CW HEALTHY LIVING WITH DIABETES: Take charge of your health & feel in control.

Healthy Living is a workshop for adults of all ages who have pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or live with someone that does. In the workshop, you set your own goals – the changes you see are things that matter most to you. A group setting brings fun and wisdom as you learn hands-on with others to apply new skills in your life. Healthy Living with Diabetes doesn’t replace your diabetes treatment plan – it teaches you the best ways to work with your doctor and your family. Meets one time a week for six weeks for 2 ½ hours.

ADRC-CW LIVING WELL WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS: What if you could feel better?

Managing your health starts with taking care of yourself. Living Well workshops offer you a hands-on opportunity to discover solutions that work with your life, and your health concerns. Classes are for adults with an ongoing health condition like arthritis, high blood pressure, cancer, depression, heart disease and many others. With mutual support in a Living Well workshop, you can build confidence to make new choices and feel better. You set your goals and put new problem-solving skills to work in your own life. It’s about doing what’s important to you – and not just living, but Living Well! Meets one time a week for six weeks for 2 ½ hours.

ADRC-CW STEPPING ON BUILDING CONFIDENCE & REDUCING FALLS: Building Confidence and Reducing Falls

Stepping On is for adults 60 and older who have fallen or fear falling, live independently at home/apartment and are able to walk/exercise without the help of another person.
Local experts, trained leaders and other group members support and encourage you to find solutions to make your home safer and your body stronger. Stepping On can help you avoid a dangerous and costly fall so you can keep doing the things you love to do. Meets one time a week for seven weeks for 2 hours.

WELFIT

As a medically based wellness center we will seek physician input into program design. The individualized program will be designed based on the most recent research and guidelines established by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, American Physical Therapy Association, and the American College of Sports medicine. Programs are also designed for the prevention and/or management of chronic disease. Blood pressure monitoring pre and post exercise is available and reports sent the individuals physician with their consent.
