EHAF - EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE FUNDS

The Emergency Housing Assistance Fund (EHAF) agencies are a group of community organizations that are concerned about homelessness & poverty in the greater Wausau community. Its mission is to address & help alleviate problems of homelessness while maintaining the dignity of potentially homeless persons. EHAF grants may provide EMERGENCY housing assistance to area residents who would otherwise be homeless. Funds are intended for emergency rent.

TRUTH (THREE RIVERS UNITED TEMPORARY HOUSING/OUR SISTERS’S HOUSE)

Our Sisters’ House is a temporary homeless shelter. Individuals or families can stay in a home-like setting for up to three months while working with a dedicated Case Manager to achieve self-sufficiency. We maintain a strict drug and alcohol free sober living environment.

WOMEN'S COMMUNITY SAFE SHELTER

Safe Shelter w/an informal & supportive setting. Available to domestic abuse victims, & victims of sexual assault/survivors, human trafficking, all gender & sexual identities. Emergency food & personal items are provided. Kitchen & laundry facilities. Sheltering may last a few days or several weeks, depending on the individual’s & family members’ needs.
