Meals on Wheels Drivers: Deliver a hot, nutritious meal to an older, homebound adult. Routes typically take one hour. Bring sunshine (and a hot lunch meal) into the life of another….
Meal site volunteer: Make the group meal site a welcome and warm place to enjoy a midday meal. Help prepare the dining room, assist in serving meals, and clean up after the food, fun and fellowship.
Health/wellness class volunteer: Interested in health, wellness and prevention? Volunteers are trained to lead classes, assist with class registrations, educational materials, supplies, and work with community health educators.
Office assistant: Projects could include making copies, answering phones, putting folders/information brochures together, attaching mailing labels, and many more tasks based on the volunteers’ interests. Use your customer service and computer skills to make a difference.
Medicare Part D: A computer based volunteer opportunity to help individuals maximize their opportunity during Part D Open Enrollment season. Volunteer opportunity available from early October through end of November.
Dementia Outreach Educator: Help to educate businesses and employees on how to make the community more “dementia friendly.” Currently focusing in on the Wausau community.
