Café 60 provides Senior Dining for adults age 60 or older. Café 60 offers balanced nutrition & social opportunities. It is offered in rural Marathon County. With this dining option participants present their Café 60 Coupon at a local participating restaurant any time it is open and choose from a variety of menu choices that are program-approved. Suggested contribution of $4.25 per meal. No eligible person is excluded if unable to contribute, however contributions are a very necessary part of the budget. Senior Dining provides an opportunity for persons age 60 and older, and their spouses, to enjoy a nutritious meal at a reasonable cost, and have an opportunity to socialize. CIRCLES OF JOY

A service organization “of last resort” whose purpose is to supplement and complement area community services when they are unable, for any reason, to meet emergency needs. Assists with referrals to area agencies and organizations. Most “Circles of Joy” locations maintain pantries of non-perishable groceries for people in their areas who have no food. Some Chapters also distribute day-old produce and baked goods to community agencies and help distribute food commodities. Some chapters provide food vouchers to area stores and/or assistance with other material things on a case by case basis. Funded by private & business donations only. FRIENDS THANKSGIVING DINNER First Presbyterian Church

The Friends Thanksgiving Dinner is an annual FREE, serving traditional fare for all who would be alone or hungry on Thanksgiving. The sit-down meal is prepared by the First Presbyterian Church youth fellowship and served at the church, no reservations needed (or taken). Wausau Area Mobile Meals provides hot, nutritious meals to the elderly, convalescing and/or disabled members of the greater Wausau area.
